LetGod provides account deletion controls to help users permanently close accounts and remove associated personal data.
1. Delete your account inside the app
- Open LetGod and sign in.
- Go to Profile -> Settings -> Account.
- Select Delete Account.
- Review the deletion summary and confirm with your password.
2. Request deletion without app access
If you cannot access the app, send a request to hello@letgod.app from your account email with subject line: Account Deletion Request.
To protect users, we may ask for additional verification before deleting an account.
3. What is deleted
- Profile data tied to your account.
- Journal entries, reflections, and prayer logs linked to your profile.
- User-specific app settings and preferences.
4. What may be retained temporarily
- Security and fraud-prevention records.
- Transaction or billing records where legally required.
- Limited server backups for a short rolling period before automatic purge.
Retained records are kept only as required by law, security needs, or legitimate compliance obligations.
5. Deletion timeline
- In-app deletion request acknowledgment: immediate confirmation screen.
- Primary account deactivation: typically within 24 hours.
- Full deletion from active systems: typically within 30 days.
- Backup lifecycle purge: up to 90 days, subject to secure backup rotation.
6. Data download requests
Where required by law, users may request a copy of personal data before deletion by contacting hello@letgod.app.
